The thickness for vinyl pool liners is typically distinguished by "Gauge" in the above ground pool industry. You may see a vinyl pool liner measured in "MIL", which is typically how an inground pool liner is measured. We sell vinyl pool liners from the top manufacturer's in the above ground pool industry because they are great quality and they stand behind their products.
The pool liners that we carry are not rated by MIL thickness, they are distinguished by Gauge. A 20 Gauge liner is the standard thickness for vinyl liners, while 25, 30 and 35 Gauge liners provide added strength and durability. A 40 Gauge liner is the thickest available, offering the strongest and most durable option.
Please refer to the chart below for a comparison between liner thickness in Gauge and MIL:
| Liner Thickness in Gauge | Approximate Liner Thickness in MIL |
|---|---|
| 20 Gauge | 12-13 MIL |
| 25 Gauge | 14-15 MIL |
| 30 Gauge | 16-17 MIL |
| 35 Gauge | 18-19 MIL |
| 40 Gauge | 20-21 MIL |
