You have two options during the offseason for maintaining your pool.
1) You can leave your pool uncovered and add the basic chemicals to keep your water clear throughout the offseason. If you choose this option you will have to run the filter and add pH, alkalinity, and chlorine as you normally would when the pool is in use during the summer months.
2) You can also winterize the pool which would consist of adding winterizing chemicals and covering the pool. If you wanted to close the pool you would need to purchase and use the following items:
- Winter Pool Cover
- Winterizing Chemical Closing Kit for Pools up to 25,000 Gallons of Pool Water
- Skimmer Winterizing Plate
- Threaded Winterizing Plug for Standard Return Fitting
- Air Pillow
