This chlorinator does not come with a base from the manufacturer, so most customers will purchase the Hayward Male Union Connector Pak For CL100, CL200 & CL220 Chlorinators and install this chlorinator at the outlet of your filter tank.

This connector pak above allows you to install your chlorinator to the outlet of your filter tank and can simply hang in the air, since it will be supported with this rigid pvc adapter piece. This chlorinator is made to be plumbed in-line with your return plumbing. A base or stand isn’t necessary as long as the chlorinator is well supported by this adapter piece. If your plumbing isn’t rigid enough to support the chlorinator or you’re worried about stress on the pipes, you can place a small block or bracket underneath it for extra stability, but it’s not required by design.
