Hayward Natural Gas and Propane Heaters with a rating of 150K BTUs or higher require PVC hard plumbing to connect properly to your pool and filter system. Each unit includes 2" unions (located behind the front panel of the heater) for plumbing connections, and these can be reduced to 1-1/2" using standard 2" to 1-1/2" reducer bushings if needed.
