Here is a link with all of the information that you will need for a 15'x26'x54" Quest Oval Pool.
It includes the installation instruction PDF, semi-inground installation guidelines, parts listings, warranty information and an installation video:

The semi-inground installation instructions would be exactly the same as the above ground instructions except for the digging.
The overall space required to install a 15'x26'x54" Quest Oval Pool is 18' 2" X 27' 7". It's a good idea to add at least one foot to the width and length of these dimensions when preparing the hole for semi-inground installation.
The pool manufacturer recommends sand or dry sifted soil with no rocks or sharp objects as back-fill material.
As per the manufacturer's instructions, "refrain from finishing up your pool with stones, rocks, gravel, etc., to avoid chipping of the paint and damaging the pool wall. Most decorative rocks are very acidic and they can damage and corrode your pool wall beyond repair."
You would not want to use any rocks as back-fill material directly against the pool wall. Placing a barrier against the pool wall to protect it before back-filling is also strongly recommended. Roofing rubber or tar paper are a great option to use as a protective barrier. Using a protective barrier against the pool wall is a must if you decide to put rocks anywhere around the swimming pool.
