The Retro Jet Cell must be installed vertically to the return jet on the swimming pool. The Retro Jet Cell cannot be installed horizontally.

This unit requires hard plumbing connections (not included with the system) that you would install directly into the filter return line. The Reliant Salt Cell can be installed vertically or horizontally making it a great option based on the setup you described.
