Pool liners are warrantied for manufacturing defects. The most common manufacturing defect found in pool liners is an open seam. An open seam would be a very large opening in one of the heat sealed seams and the pool would empty very quickly. Small holes are not defects and can be patched very easily with an underwater patch kit.
Pool liner warranties do not cover grass or vegetation growing through the liner. We recommend treating the ground for any nut grass, crab grass or any other vegetation before the installation of the pool liner. Contact your local landscaper or garden center for more information on how to treat for and eliminate nut or crab grass prior to installation, as these are invasive weeds that will eat through any type of material regardless of how thick the material is.
