Salt should be added once the pool is completely filled with water and the filter system is running so it can circulate and dissolve evenly. There is no required waiting period before adding salt once the pool is filled and ready for startup. Add the salt directly into the pool and allow it to dissolve while the filter system is running. Continue to run the filter for 24 to 48 hours, or until all of the added salt is fully dissolved. Once dissolved, you can turn on the salt system and maintain the pool as normal.
