Yes, the Super Heavy XXtreme Winter Cover is the thickest winter cover available on the above-ground pool market. However, it is still very important to use a winter cover pump to remove accumulated water and melted snow from the cover and reduce excess weight. It is also very important to keep the pool water level high throughout the winter so the water can help support the winter cover from underneath. To do this, we recommend using a skimmer winterizing plate and a threaded return plug installed on the inside of the pool:
