Yes, the AquaPro sand filter system can be left outside for the winter as long as it is completely drained of water and properly winterized. Placing a protective cover over the system is also a good idea to help protect it from the elements:

Before winter storage, we recommend backwashing and rinsing the filter, placing the multiport valve in the winterize position, removing the drain cap so all water can completely drain from the filter tank, and disconnecting the hoses. You do not need to remove the sand from the filter.
